Day 1 - Sturgis

Today went for a ride to Mount Rushmore and to Crazy Horse monument through the mountains, which was a good ride.  Bikes and people everywhere and I got separated from the other 2 guys on the way back so carried on to Deadwood.  This was just like Sturgis full of bikes and it was hot damn hot.

Now Deadwood has a lot of history so would have liked to look around but was too busy so I got out of there (anyway most of the main street is made up of casinos).

Headed for the world famous buffalo chip bar and had a Bud while waiting for the guys (it was hot, damn hot).  Thought about getting my bike cleaned by some young ladies but was $30.00 + tip so got an oil change and a new filter instead.

Leaving the place, had to wait till 500 bikes arrived.  They had been on a charity poker run so finally got out but down the road came upon a accident.  A bike had tee boned a car, police everywhere guy lying in middle of the road and lady on the verge both being attended too.   Didn't look good.

Got back to camp, met up with the guys.  They weren't worried bout me but Betty was (she is like an old mother hen).  Had a couple of Buds cause it was hot (you get the picture) then back to camp.

Next door have meet 3 nice guys from Canada who have traveled around a bit so have gone over maps swapped stories etc.

Went into town on the bus at 9 pm but my iPhone had gone flat so couldn't take any pictures.  This is all I am going to tell you about this night but slept like a baby when we got back.

Have booked in for a tattoo at 4 pm tomorrow (another thing off the list).

Still having trouble getting WiFi but health etc all ok.
